Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for more than 20 years. Her most well-known character was in the role of Skyler in the drama series of AMC, Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding supporting Performance on a a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. She also appeared in Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant as a child in Sante Fe New Mexico. After that, her family relocated to Ohio and she continued her interest in the theatre. Theatre studies was at Northwestern University. A semester was taken at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey in Chicago performing in stage parts for a number of years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood and began acting in movies and television shows. Anna was the first to get a major part in the role of Arden in the TV show Down the Shore. Down the Shore aired 29 episodes from 1992. Anna continued to be an actor in handful of TV shows and films including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue until the late 1990's, when she was cast in a recurring role in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. Skyler was on screen in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully is the Deadwood film, and other movies also featured her. Gunn has also appeared on the stage starring in the David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn also participated in an audio-play podcast called "Numbered days". Breaking Bad is often centered around the relationship that Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their relationship is strained and final break-up echoes the end of Walter White's life.
